R.M.S Titanic Photographs for Sale
Despite her short life in service there are many photographs of the Titanic. She was built in tandem with the R.M.S Olympic and they both received special attention. Even when the photo is of the Olympic under the gantry at Harland & Wolff, often the outline of the Titanic can be seen beside her. There are also the famous photographs of the Titanic being fitted out and in drydock. One, perhaps the most famous, of the two sisterships together when the Olympic was forced to returned to the Thompson Graving Dock, the only drydock big enough to fit the massive sisters, to be repaired after a collision with the R.M.S Hawke in Southampton.
Pictures of the Titanic on her maiden voyage are more rare, but there are many which are not seen out of books, such as her near collision on leaving Southampton. More still have been found in private collections, and have never before been published. You may find some of them here, or the more famous shots. Enjoy!
